Mark Prendergast has been actively involved in the Art, Antiques and Collectibles market for over 25 years, providing expert consulting, sales and valuations to private, institutional and corporate clients. Beginning his career as an art consultant with a national contemporary art gallery, he joined Christie's in 1998 and advanced over a decade to the position of Vice President. In 2009, he joined Heritage Auctions as Director of Trusts and Estates, expanding the company's presence within the collector and fiduciary communities nationally. In 2017, Mark founded MJP Art Services. He is a regular speaker to arts organizations and Trusts and Estates professional groups, and is co-author of 7 published editions of 'The Collector's Handbooks.' Mark graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Art History and holds a Certified Member status with the Appraisers Association of America with a specialization in American Art.
